On the Library screen, tap Add. You can import a PDF, EPUB, text, Markdown or web page file, or paste text from anywhere. It appears in your library and opens right away.

iPhone: open easyspeech.io in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen.

The natural AI voice downloads once, about 100 MB. Use Wi-Fi for the first time. After that it's saved on your device and starts in a few seconds, even offline.

The AI voice is created on your device as it reads, so older or slower phones can fall slightly behind. Try a lower speed, close other apps, or tap the narrator button and choose Device voices.

On Android it usually keeps playing with controls on the lock screen. iPhone limits what web apps can do in the background, so EasySpeech keeps your screen on while it reads.

Yes. EasySpeech reads only titles and paragraphs. It skips footnotes, endnotes, reference lists, tables of contents, tables, captions and sidebars in every document. For PDFs it also leaves out running headers, footers and page numbers, and it skips citations like [12] or (Smith, 2020) and web links when reading aloud. You can change each of these under Settings → Skip while reading. For a PDF you added before an update, delete it and import it again for the cleanest result.

Open the document and tap Choose what's read in the top bar (the lines-with-an-X button). Tap any header, footnote or line and it won't be read. If that line repeats, such as a running header, tap Skip all like this to skip every copy. Tap it again to bring it back.

Yes, for PDFs. Tap the Pages button in the top bar. Choose a range such as pages 5 to 40, or tap single pages to skip them. Long-press a page number to jump there. If you added the PDF before page options existed, delete it and import it again.

Tap the speed button on the player to pick any speed from 0.5× to 3×. Tap the voice button to choose from 21 narrators.

AI narrators are available in English (American and British), Spanish, French, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Hindi. EasySpeech detects each document's language and picks a matching narrator automatically. For other languages, such as German, Chinese or Japanese, it uses your device's built-in voice for that language.
